I have worked years on my design for making Plains Indian Moccasins. I have developed a pattern of 3 main pieces and a method of printing different beading designs on pre-printed kits of buckskin. Here is one example of a moccasin kit ready for beading and assembly:
If you plan to bead your moccasins, do it now.

Wow, Char! I have not been here in a while. You've done a wonderful job of making your blog interesting and educational with just a touch of merchandising! Diane
Diane, thank you for your nice comment....you add a lot of interest to my blog with your blog. Thanks for joining me. Char
I could kiss you. I went over these photos with a fine tooth comb. The photos make it so clear. I know exactly now how to sew my beautiful moccasins from your kit. (I just have to finish that darn beading LOL)
These look so nice Char! I know I don't have the patience to make them, but you make it look so easy!!
Leola, when I start beading, I am obsessed! I'm not sure if I told you that a pair of needlenose pliers are a necessity when beading (to pull the needle through). Deb, it is so easy. I can bead and completely finish a pair of mocs in a day. Some days I like to bead, some days I like to quilt, and every day I like to play on the computer LOL.
Thank you for sharing the instructions on making the moccasins. It helps us fully appreciate the work and care that goes into making them.
Nice blog too! :)
